Yuri said “In my mind I counted in 5s.There are 5 eggs in each box and altogether 6 boxes.” The learners were given a Maths problem to solve. They were given the option to either work independently or in group of two. Yuri was curious to work independently and solve the problem by herself. She used grouping strategy and counted in 5s to solve the given problem.

Evidence of learning

Connected-Yuri was using her prior knowledge to solve the problem. Collaborative- Yuri showed collaboration as she carefully listened to and followed  the instructions straight way. Curious- Yuri was curious to work independently and solve the problem by herself. Capable- Yuri displayed her capability by solving the problem correctly using the grouping strategy .
